Recently, Rochon released a series of stills he calls The Light Painting KATA, a visual study on the slow dancing martial artistry of Kata.  The western translation of this Japanese term would be “shadow boxing”, a term that aptly describes Rochon’s process.  When the shutter opens, Rochon bends, twists and throws the light around at arm’s length, not unlike a boxer training for the prize fight of the mind.  Enjoy the visual dance below, and don’t miss Rochon’s website for more great light painting photography.
